WARSAW — The following events are set to take place in July at Goodwill’s Warsaw Community Career Center.
Microsoft Office Workshops
- 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, July 5
- 3–4 p.m. Thursday, July 14
- 3–4 p.m. Thursday, July 21
- 10–11 a.m. Tuesday, July 26
These workshops are designed for all skill levels and those who are new to comptuers. The class covers a broad range of computer lessons, like setting up an email, attaching documents and files and an introduction to Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
For those more advanced, the class can cater to specific interest or skills a client would want to acquire for business purposes. It is also designed to assist people in the application process and drafting letters and cover letter. Attendees will receive a certificate of completion. Workshops are always free to the public and one-on-one assistance is available by appointment.
Blood Drive
The South Bend Medical Foundation will host a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, July 22. Click here www.GiveBloodNow.com and enter the code, “Goodwill,” to register. Donors must be a least 17 years old, in good health and weigh a minimum of 110 pounds.
The process takes approximately 45 minutes and strict procedures are followed to ensure safety. Blood donations are always needed and save lives.
Job Fair
A Job Fair will be held at the Warsaw Community Career Center from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, July 27, with three companies participating. People Link Staffing will also be there with top jobs leads from companies around the community.
Applicants should dress professionally, bring copies of their resume and be prepared to interview the same day. The event is free and open to the general public. The Career Center will also build, update and print resumes in preparation for this event.
